Was Moderna Stock's Cancer Vaccine Run Visible In Advance?
Moderna (MRNA) stock rose roughly 510% over the year to September 21, 2026, climbing from about $25 to about $173. The S&P 500 gained 18.5% with dividends reinvested over the same window, and Pfizer (PFE) about 23%. The run's central event came on August 19, 2026, when Merck and Moderna said a Phase III trial of their cancer vaccine, intismeran autogene, met its endpoints in melanoma. A rough timetable for the trial was public long before the stock moved, but its result was not.

The signs were public long before the run, in what management kept saying about its drug pipeline. The reported sales told a different story.
Why Is JNJ Stock Beating Rivals That Grow Faster?
Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) stock has returned 58% over the past twelve months, second best in a group of six health care companies. Its revenue growth ranks only fourth of the six. Three peers grew faster and returned less, Eli Lilly among them. The price is a bet that the rest of the business keeps growing once shrinking STELARA sales stop dragging on the total.

Earlier this month, Pfizer’s CEO Albert Bourla told investors at Morgan Stanley’s Global Healthcare Conference that major headwinds such as tariffs, drug-pricing pressures, declining COVID-19 sales and upcoming patent expiries are beginning to ease, supported by cost actions and a growing mix of newer therapies. Pfizer Reveals Surprise HHS Revenue-Sharing Terms in Overseas Drug Pricing Deal
What Would It Take For Pfizer To Cut Its Dividend?
Pfizer (PFE) has returned 23.1% over the past year and trades about 5% below its three-year high. Yet one question keeps coming back on its earnings calls: would it ever cut the dividend? An analyst asked it outright on the August call, and another tied it to a big acquisition in May. So what would a cut take, and what would it change.

What Would It Take For Eli Lilly Stock To Keep Climbing?
Eli Lilly (LLY) trades near $1,150, up about 52% over the past year, and is now worth more than a trillion dollars. At that size the easy read is that the big money has been made. But Lilly has barely started selling Foundayo, its oral obesity medicine, outside the United States. So how much is left? The scenario below starts from Lilly's own trailing numbers, but the growth, margin, and multiple it assumes are ours. It is not a forecast and not a price target.

Is Johnson & Johnson Stock Expensive, Or Is STELARA Hiding The Real Price?
Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) stock has returned about 57% over the past year, against about 17% for the S&P 500. On the earnings it has already banked, that price looks expensive. But those earnings carry STELARA, which is losing share to biosimilar competition. What looks dear on earnings already reported comes down sharply on the earnings analysts expect.

Can Volume Keep Covering Eli Lilly's Price Cuts?
Eli Lilly (LLY) grew revenue 48% in Q2 2026, driven by Zepbound and Mounjaro. A more understated metric for investors to watch is pricing. Lilly's U.S. price fell 9% from a year earlier, excluding changes to rebate estimates. So far, volume covers that cut. The risk is the quarter it cannot.

What Happens To AbbVie Stock If SKYRIZI Slows Down?
AbbVie (ABBV) is trading within about one percent of its 52-week high after gaining roughly 24% over the past year, well ahead of the S&P 500. That price rests on two drugs, SKYRIZI above all, growing faster than 20% year over year while the company's older medicines shrink. The biggest risk to the stock makes no noise. It is the chance that this engine slows while the price assumes it cannot.

Is Pfizer's New Business Big Enough To Carry The Old One?
Pfizer (PFE) trades at about 95% of its 52-week high. The business that has to justify that price, the medicines it has launched and acquired, is still only about a fifth of the company. The stock returned roughly 24% over the past year against about 17% for the S&P 500, so investors have so far given the handoff the benefit of the doubt. It is a large bet on a small slice.
Should You Judge JNJ Stock Without STELARA?
Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) has been a rewarding stock to hold, up about 53% over the past year against about 17% for the S&P 500. The change worth noticing over that stretch is quieter than the price. Management said sales still rose 5.6% despite a STELARA drag of about 460 basis points. Management is encouraging investors to evaluate the company's underlying momentum by presenting growth rates that exclude STELARA alongside its reported figures.

Pfizer (PFE) throws off free cash worth 7.0% of its market value a year, against 4.4% for the median S&P 500 company. Everything turns on whether the cash holds. Management's answer is a wait: it says it is well positioned to return to growth from 2029 onward. A 6.2% dividend yield over the past twelve months is what that wait pays.

Medicus Pharma secures Pfizer ADC deal, advances SkinJect and precision oncology strategy
Medicus Pharma CEO Dr Raza Bokhari joined Steve Darling from Proactive to discuss a transformative agreement with Pfizer that significantly strengthens the company’s position in precision oncology and provides key resources to advance its lead cancer program. Under the development and licensing agreement, Medicus has secured rights to a CD228-targeted antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) program, while Pfizer is contributing approximately $2 million in development funding, along with inventory and infrastructure support. Bokhari described the transaction as a major milestone that effectively provides the company with the resources needed to continue development from where Pfizer concluded its Phase 1 dose-escalation work. The CD228-targeted ADC is being developed for the treatment of solid tumors, including refractory melanoma, and now represents the centerpiece of Medicus’ evolving oncology strategy. Bokhari said the agreement allows the company to move forward with a capital-efficient approach while leveraging the extensive scientific and clinical groundwork already completed by Pfizer. Beyond oncology, Medicus continues to make progress with its SkinJect program, which is focused on the treatment of basal cell carcinoma and related conditions. Bokhari noted that final clinical trial results recently published on ClinicalTrials.gov identified the 200-microgram patch as the optimal dose for future registrational studies. The company is now concentrating its efforts on advancing SkinJect in patients with Gorlin syndrome, a rare genetic condition that can lead to the development of multiple basal cell carcinomas throughout a patient’s lifetime. Medicus is preparing to move forward with the FDA-approved pivotal SkinJect 005 study while simultaneously recruiting patients for the trial. At the same time, Bokhari said the company is positioning the broader nodular basal cell carcinoma opportunity for potential out-licensing, allowing Medicus to focus internal resources on the areas where it sees the strongest risk-adjusted return. To support the commercial potential of SkinJect, Medicus commissioned an independent reimbursement analysis that suggests the treatment could potentially achieve reimbursement levels of $25,000 or more per patient. Bokhari noted that the rare disease and potential pediatric disease characteristics associated with Gorlin syndrome could provide attractive regulatory and commercial advantages. He described SkinJect as “partner-ready” and indicated that the company is actively exploring opportunities to unlock additional value through strategic partnerships. Bokhari characterized the Pfizer agreement as a paradigm shift for Medicus, transforming the company into a precision oncology-focused biotechnology business while maintaining a disciplined approach to capital allocation. He compared the strategy to a Berkshire Hathaway-style model for drug development, where resources are selectively deployed into programs with the highest potential returns. #proactiveinvestors #nasdaq #mdcx #tsxv #mdcx #pharma #SkinJect #Pfizer #PrecisionOncology #Biotech #CancerResearch #ADC #Melanoma #DrugDevelopment #ClinicalTrials #SkinJect #GorlinSyndrome #Biotechnology #HealthcareInnovation #Oncology #LifeSciences
